Born in 1909 in Tacoma, Washington, Wayne spent his young adult life as a
prize fighter and a bowler. After moving to Las Vegas in 1939, he became an
active member of The Ideal Recreation staff, which later was renamed
The Las Vegas Lanes.
Among his many years of service to the game, Wayne was the Las Vegas Men's
Bowling Association Secretary from 1949 to 1959, and he served as the
Southern Nevada Bowling Association Secretary from 1959 to 1964. He was
also instrumental in the founding of the Nevada State Bowling Association,
and has continued to actively support and participate in the game of
bowling.
