Dale moved to Southern Nevada in 1963 and was a member of ABC for over 20
years and the SNBA for 17 years when health prevented his participation in
bowling in 1979. In 1965 he joined the SNBA Board of Directors and served
14 years where he served as Chairman of the Yearbook Committee for three
years, became Vice President in 1968; Executive Vice President in 1973 and
President in 1975. He served as President of the Nevada State Bowling
Association for six years; was an officer of the AJBC for three years, and a
bowling instructor to the younger members for many years.
During his 17 years of support and active participation, Dale worked
tirelessly to improve the sport of bowling for the SNBA and the State of
Nevada. His own activities in the sport of bowling showed
participation in many leagues where he carried a top average of 199.
Dale compiled 28 series over 700 and had a high game of 290.
