One of the premier bowlers in Southern Nevada, he has been a member of
our Association for over 20 years.
His bowling talents and abilities have garnered him numerous awards for
excellence in the sport of bowling. Topmost among those include: Champion,
1967 SNBA Scratch All Events; member SNBA Champion Scratch Team; Champion
SNBA Scratch Doubles.
In 1962, he was Nevada State All Events Scratch Champion, where he
established a new State Record, along with winning Scratch and Handicap
Doubles that same year. He averaged well over 200
for more than 14 years. His highest was 213.
Steve participated in many professional tournaments and was the first bowler
from this area to make the PBA finals.
He was the Bowling Proprietors Association of America All Star Winner in
1965, 1966, and 1967.
He served as president in three scratch leagues and was the
champion of the Showboat Classic League for 13 of the 15 years he
participated.
To his credit, Steve has over 40, 700 series' , a 300 game and an 800
series in the books.
