JOSEPH H. KELLY  (Deceased)

Inducted:  1990 - Meritorious Service

Joe Kelly was an avid supporter of bowling since the opening of the Showboat Lanes and was instrumental in the expansion from the original 24 lanes to what was the largest bowling establishment in the world with 106 lanes.   Through his support and sponsorship, the sport of bowling has been enriched in the Las Vegas area by bringing national attention to such events as the oldest stop on the Professional Bowlers Tour, the Showboat Invitational; by providing strong support to the Western Women's Professional tour for over 14 years, hosting two Women's International Bowling Congress Championship Tournaments, and contributing some $50,000.00 to the National Bowling Hall of Fame and Museum.  Joe was also inducted into the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Hall of Fame in 1989.
