George was a resident of  the Las Vegas area for over 30 years.   He was a member of the ABC and the SNBA for over 25 years and was considered one of the top bowlers during the early 60's and through the 70's.   He consistently carried an average of around 212.  The season of 1977-1978, was his most successful.   He had a season average of 222 and rolled his highest series of 798, as well as a 795.   He was the Rookie of the Year in the PBA Western Region, and in that same season, he and his doubles partner, Bruce Santee, were the SNBA Scratch Doubles Champions.   George rolled a series score of 700 over 40 times and had three sanctioned 300 games.   He was truly one of the early premier bowlers in Southern Nevada.
