John lived in Southern Nevada and was a member of the SNBA for over 45 years.   He was a member of the ABC for close to 50 years.   Always active in bowling, John served in league offices as President and Secretary/Treasurer.   He was instrumental in organizing the Pin Topplers League at the Las Vegas Bowl after it opened in December of 1955.   On May 6, 1957, John lit up Las Vegas Bowl when he bowled the first 300 game ever shot in Las Vegas in league competition.  The Review-Journal named him "Bowler of the  Month."   He spent the past few years living in Pahrump, and passed away in 1993.
