B.E. "Gene" NEILL   (Deceased)

Gene was involved in bowling his entire adult life.  In 1986 he was elected as a Director on the SNBA Board.   In 1990 he became a Vice President, a position he held for five years.   He was elected Director of the Year in 1995 and was appointed to Executive Vice President in 1996.   Gene served as a League or House Representative to Showboat Lanes since 1988.   Since Gene became a member of the Board, he has served on most every SNBA Standing Committee.   For several years he served as committee chairman of the Awards Committee and was instrumental in the implementation of several changes and improvements to the program which resulted in the key chains and pins provided for high game and series awards.   Gene is one of those individuals who will give tireless hours of volunteer support for whatever endeavors the Association has required or deemed necessary for the support or promotional activities of bowling.  From serving time at the County Fair bowling booth or organizing the annual funshops sponsored by the associations, he's one you know will be there.   Gene has served as an SNBA Delegate to the ABC National Convention on three separate occasions and never hesitates to become involved.   Truly dedicated to the sport, he never lost his interest or enthusiasm for the game.   His contributions to the sport in Southern Nevada is truly immeasurable.
