Hal became a member of the SNBA in 1966. That year he averaged 174. The
following year he averaged 206 and the scores just kept on coming. Hal
has recorded many 700's in his trips to the lanes. However, in 1983 he rolled
an 801. In 1968-69 he was the SNBA high average with a 212 and rolled a 707
when during that same season, only 16 700's were recorded. The next season,
1969-70, bowling in only one league, he was high average again, with a 218
in the Showboat Lanes Singles Classic. Hal dropped out of the bowling scene
for a while but when he returned, he picked up right where he left off,
averaging 202 in 1982 and 210 in 1983.
