SCOTT E. PAYNE

Inducted:  1999 - Meritorious Service

A retired banker, Scott became a Director on the Board in November 1985 and became Vice President in 1988.   When he became vice president he was also made Chairman of the Audit Committee, a position he held for ten years.   Scott and his wife live in Pahrump, and in addition to traveling in to town for the monthly meeting he also comes in on his own time to conduct the monthly audit with his committee and assure that everything is in order with the Association's financial affairs.   Scott was one of the principle parties involved in establishing the audit procedures used by the SNBA; procedures which also served as the model for introducing improved procedures and changes by the ABC for use in other Association programs.  Truly dedicated to the sport of bowling and  the Association, Scott serves the Pahrump area as league and house representative as well as actively participating in the sport.   One of the unheralded champions of bowling, Scott has never relented in his support of the Association, and you can rest assured if when he's needed, he'll be there.  His contributions to the sport and the SNBA are immeasurable.
