Born in Warren, OH, in 1955, Harold started bowling as an SNBA Junior Bowler in 1967.  As a Valley High School Bowler, in 1972 he became the SNBA Junior Singles, Doubles, All Events, and Junior Masters Champion.  That same year, he and Tom Enright set a Pacific West Coast Junior Bowling Championship doubles scoring record for five games - 2291, in a San Francisco tournament.   In 1973, he was a member of the SNBA  Junior Championship team and also took the Nevada State Junior Singles, Doubles and All Events titles.   He capped of the year by taking High Average and MVP honors for Valley High School and the Clark County High School Bowling League.   For 14 years he served as a youth coach in the Showboat YABA Program and was voted coach of the year in 1983.   He has also served as an instructor/coach for adults, introducing many men and women to bowling in sanctioned leagues and other competitions.   He Joined the ABC and the SNBA in 1973, and his brilliant performance continued.   Through the years he was consistently averaged over 200 in a number of leagues, including a high average of 228.   He has shot well over a hundred 700 series or better and 11  300 games as of his induction.  He's also rolled two 800 series including an 834 he shot in the 1992 SNBA Championship Tournament.   Harold has demonstrated his consistency in the game by rolling at least one 300 in each of the last four decades (1970 through 2000), including the first 300 shot at the Santa Fe Bowling Center.  Due to an injury in 1990, Harold had to bowl left handed and showed his athleticism by averaging 196 for that year.   Harold holds seven SNBA Annual Tournament Titles, including two Scratch and Handicap Team titles (1984 & 1985, both state records at the time) , Scratch and Handicap Singles titles (834 & 896), and the Scratch All Events title in 1992 (2115).   In addition to his many accomplishments in the SNBA, Harold has been very successful in local tournament competition, being consistently among the top rated players.  He finished in the top 20 in singles in the ABC National Tournament and cashed in a PBA National Tour Event.   In addition to his many accomplishments as both a bowler and a leader, Harold has set an example for youth and adult bowlers alike by his behavior and demeanor both on and off the lanes.  He is a strong competitor and avid promoter of the game of bowling and remains committed to its continued development.
