Norma "Jean" Thornton served the bowling community of Southern Nevada for over a quarter century.  She was a director of the LVWBA for 21 years and served on all of its committees at one time or another.  She was a delegate to the NWBA Convention on 11 occasions and served as a delegate to the WIBC Convention 13 times.  She also served the NWBA as its Sergeant at Arms and was on the Credentials committee.  Jean also was a Certified Youth Coach for over 22 years and was a NVSNAYABA Director for 5 years, being selected as a delegate to the Nevada State Youth Convention four of those years.  She was also a director of both the 500 Club of Nevada and the 600 Club of Nevada and served as a local league secretary for 34 years.
