Bobby Allen was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He retired as a U.S. Marine Master Sergeant in 1986. In 1958, at age 12, he received a lesson from Don Carter and bowled a 279 at age 16. Since then, he has a high series of 779. He began working with children in 1969 and coached Little League for 18 years and umpired their world series in 1987. Bobby moved to Las Vegas in 1987 to work for the IRS. His association with SNBA began that year. Since then, he has served as Director, Vice-President, and association President. He was honored with being named as association Director of the Year in 1990. Bobby Allen coaches youth bowlers and has served on the SNAYABA Board since 1969, and also served as the youth tournament secretary for the last four years. He has served as a Director on the Nevada State Bowling Association Board of Directors for nine years and was awarded a life membership to the state association.
