Wes was born in 1948, in Norfolk, NE. He came to the Southern Nevada area in 1983 when the Air Force transferred him to Nellis AFB. He had always been involved in bowling and immediately joined the SNBA where he's been a member for 20 years, and a member of ABC for 27 years. Wes became a member of the SNBA Board of Directors in 1983, and served as a Director for four years until he became a vice-president and the Chairman of the Tournament Committee. He served in that capacity from 1987 until 1990, when he had to leave the board due to conflicting schedules with his work. Although he is no longer active as a Director, he has continued to participate and support the activities of the Lane Certification Committee in the capacity of an Associate Director. Wes served as House and League Representative to the Nellis 300 Lanes from 1983 to 1989 and was a certified YABA Coach while serving that house. He served as secretary for several Nellis leagues and bowled in as many as six leagues a week in the mid-1980's. During his bowling career, Wes has averaged in the mid-180's, with his highest average on record being a 192 for the 1995 season. He has two 700 series and has picked up the "Big Four" twice. He still bowls at least one night a week at the Nellis 300 lanes and carries an average of 181.
