JOHN DE BENEDETTA, JR

Originally from California, John has been a Las Vegas resident for over 20 years.  He has also been a member of the SNBA and SNUSBCA for over 20 years.  During that time he has amassed numerous awards and records.  Among those being a 4-game series of 1110 which included back-to-back 300 games on different lanes, which was the Nevada State Record at the time.  During the 2004 SNBA Championship Tournament, John recorded 4 honor scores to include a 299, 300, 814 and 290.  The 300 game was part of a national record 600 Doubles Game score shot with Phil Platko.  He had the Association High Average in 2005 of 234.96 for 112 games.  He has a composite average over the last 12 years in the SNBA of 224.62.  John is an avid bowler with many titles to his name.  He has numerous top 32 finishes in the High Roller and  Mini Eliminator.  He has also won a sweeper championship in the Mini Eliminator tournament.  In 2002, he was the Bowlers Journal tournament champion in conjunction with the ABC National Tournament in Billings, Montana.  As a member of the Professional Bowlers Association, he has finished in the top 16 many times in Regional competition and has won the prestigious PBA Western Region Resident Pro Title in 2004.  In 1996, he won the Scratch All Events Title in the Southern Nevada Bowling Association Tournament and was named the Nevada State Amateur Champion Bowler in 1998.  In the Southern Nevada Masters Tournament, John has amassed two top 12 finishes and was the Masters Champion in 2003.  John has also been very active in giving back to the bowling community in which he has earned so much respect as an athlete.  He has coached the UNLV bowling team, managed the Columbia Bowling Equipment booth at the ABC National Tournament for many years.  He has also helped hundreds of local bowlers improve their game through both instruction and equipment advise and recommendations.
