On August 1, 2005. the Southern Nevada Bowling Association, Las Vegas Women’s Bowling Association, Henderson Women’s Bowling Association and the Southern Nevada Young American Bowling Alliance (YABA) were merged into what is now known as the Southern Nevada USBC Association. Probably a good thing since the acronym YABA is more closely associated with a drug by the same name and we sure don’t want our kids saddled with that. By the way, YABA means “crazy medicine in Thai where it is produced.

We currently service 17 Bowling Centers. They are located in the Las Vegas Valley (13), Pahrump (1), Mesquite (1), Boulder City (1) and Ely (1).

The Association sponsors four tournaments each year for adults (SN Championships,  Doubles, Senior Doubles and Senior Singles) and four for youth (SN Championships, Youth/Adult 9-Pin No Tap, Bobby McVey Memorial High School MVP, and the Youth Masters). We also co-sponsor a Bowl for the Cure event that is held at the South Point on the third Sunday in September.

The BPAA presented us with the Association of the Year Award in 2018.
