In Memoriam
The Southern Nevada Board of Directors has lost a colleague and dear
friend. Ronald A. Wittrock, 71, passed away Jan. 15, 2012. Ron had
been a member of the SNUSBCA Board of Directors since August 2005.
He was born Aug. 27, 1940 in Sioux Falls, S.D. and was a nine-year
resident of Nevada. He served as ballistic missile defense engineer
in and was a communications engineer prior to early retirement. He
moved to Nevada in 2003.
Ron became an extremely successful bowler participating in three
bowling leagues locally in Las Vegas. Ron won the Montana Senior
Bowling Championship in 2001, the Nevada Senior Bowling Championship
in 2010, and competed in the Senior Nationals in Reno in 2001 and
2010.
Ron was also a member of the American Legion, the Eagles, and
volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Ron served as president of a Good
Sam RV Club he participated in with his wife, Carolyn. Ron and his
wife, Carolyn, have enjoyed a long life together enjoying travel in
their motor home, summer vacations at their home in Kalispel,
Montana, and the beauty of nature's animals and plants. Services
were held on Monday, January 23rd at the Southern Nevada Veterans
Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.

USBC is asking bowlers to activate
their memberships this season in order to receive the latest USBC
news and information, as well as their monthly US Bowler online
magazine.
If bowlers do not have a computer or are unable to activate their
memberships, they will still be a full USBC member and receive all
of their benefits.
