On Monday, December 7, 2020, Southern Nevada USBC Association Hall of Famer Terry Leong lost his battle with COVID19 just days before his 70th birthday.Mr. Leong was an exceptional bowler who mentored hundreds of bowlers of all ages. With an infectious smile, friendly demeanor, and impeccable character, Terry earned the respect and admiration of everyone who was fortunate to know him.
High level competition was a passion for Terry, winning numerous local tournaments in California and Nevada, along with winning a High Roller event. He was a constant casher in professional regional events, and his smooth, deliberate style was picture perfect with every delivery. He loved competing, and, whether in league or top level tournaments, Terry was among the first to congratulate winners and console everyone who fell short. He was always willing to offer his extended knowledge of our sport to bowlers of all levels, and many individuals were rewarded with improvement after taking his advice. We have suffered a great loss too soon. Our condolences go out to the Leong family. |
