Bill Shumway

Southern Nevada has lost another of it’s bowling icons. Bill Shumway was inducted into the Southern Nevada Hall of Fame in 1997. He and his long-time sweetheart Barb remained active in the sport up until his death on January 27, 2021. Aside from being a really good friend to so many, Bill’s accomplishments on the lanes from his first 300 in September 1974 through his final 11 in a Row at Sam’s Town in March of 2013 are quite impressive. In addition to racking up 5 – 800 series, 16 – 300 games and 12 – 11 in a Rows, Bill managed to accomplish the following:1955     1st league championship (adult league) in LA, CA – age 15
